First Post

Well, I am new to this blogging stuff, but I guess I will give it a try. I said I would never blog, but I also said the same about Facebook. Now, I am totally addicted. Trey has left for a rafting trip, and I have run out of people to stalk on Facebook. So here it goes.

Cate is doing great. It is amazing how much she learns everyday. Children are truly amazing. It seems like every time I turn around she is doing something new. Yesterday it was the sign for diaper and today it was "Hercules". Every time she falls or bumps her head (unfortunately this seems to happen often)we hold our arms like we are showing off our muscles and say "Hercules Hercules" (I am sorry I can not take credit for this. Trey came up with this idea, and at first I thought it was totally stupid) Well, today she imitated us doing it, and it was super cute!!

Last weekend we raced in Chattanooga. It was a lot of fun. I survived the open water swim. Trey did great. It was a big race and he missed 3rd in his age group by 3 seconds. I was sure to tell him that 4th place really stinks. If he hadn't of slowed down to give me some tips on how to ride my bike in the freaking rain storm, maybe he could have placed. Did I mentioned that it was raining??? And, I have never been on my bike in the rain. Pretty much, I was a chicken for the first 10 miles of the bike, but it was fun.
